<p>This was a gem of a job as we had no time limit to complete the works and best of all, it was completely free of all equipment and other trades. If only every job was like this one!</p>

<p>The advantages of grinding is that it leaves the floor with a flatter profile unlike blasting which can leave more prominent "tram" lines.</p>
<p>Mechlam Precision Tooling specialise in components for the motor industries, including precision parts manufacturing for a number of the top F1 motor racing teams.</p>

<p>The floor area consists of 500 m2 of Altro screed quartz in pearl including stairways, access ramps and two circular features in kyanite to provide contrast against the colour of the main floor.</p>
<p>This is a hard-wearing, easy to clean flooring system, finished with a non-slip surface - ideal for the thousands of student's feet that will pass through the reception area each day.</p>

Work was carried to the usual high standards of P. J. McGrath &amp; Sons.</p>
<p>This was part of an ongoing project of 5000m2 which has been completed over the last 7 years. It also includes high class clean rooms, epoxy skirtings and production areas.</p>

<p>The car belongs to Lorenzo Quinn, the son of the famous Hollywood film star Anthony Quinn. We used Resin Surfaces Ltd Resutop in black as the binder, and Tarmac stone for the aggregate. It was applied at a thickness of 25mm to an area of 25m2.</p>
<p>It is now on display at the Valencia Museum in Spain to coincide with the recent Spanish Grand Prix.</p>

<p>We were brought in by Altro Resins Ltd as the original reception floor was concrete and hard to keep clean after market days. Our target was to deliver a functional, hard wearing surface yet also more aesthetic in appearance.</p>
<p>The result is stunning - 320 m2 of Altro Mosaic providing an easy to clean, non-slip and decorative finish ready for the royal visit.</p>
